Each year, typhoid kills an estimated 200,000 people, most of whom are children. The burden of typhoid is greatest among those living in poverty throughout Asia and Africa, but the disease has now become a serious threat in destabilized nations in the Middle East.

‘Water Action Month’ began in Bangladesh with the launch of activities by DORP, at schools in very hard to reach areas around the country.
To mark World Water Day 2016, End Water Poverty member WaterAid launch their new report which shows the shocking reality that the poorest people in the world are paying the highest price for safe water – and calls on governments to act now for universal access.
