Call for proposals: Uganda

by | May 11, 2016 | News

Request for proposals to undertake the context analysis for Watershed programme in Uganda

The Watershed Partnership in Uganda will undertake a context analysis in order to understand the environment in which the five-year Watershed Programme will be implemented. This is a call to interested consultants to access the The Terms of Reference (TORs) and submit their proposals

Watershed is a strategic partnership between the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and IRC, Simavi, Wetlands International and Akvo. Over the next five years, the Watershed! Strategic Partnership will deliver improvements in the governance and management of water, sanitation and hygiene services as well as of the water resources on which they draw (and to which they return). Uganda is one of seven countries where the Watershed Programme will be implemented. The long term objective is improved governance of the WASH sector responsive to the interests of marginalized groups. To kick start the programme, Watershed will undertake a context analysis in order to understand the environment the partners will be working in. The context analysis will be conducted at national and decentralized level and will raise key policy issues in WASH and IWRM. The context analysis will inform the discussion and decision on the geographical location for the implementation of the Watershed Programme. Watershed thus calls for interested consultants to submit their technical and financial proposals for consideration.
