On 24 January 2023, End Water Poverty (EWP) co-hosted a peer-to-peer learning exchange which brought together over 190 civil society and community-based participants from across the globe – including dozens of EWP members.
The online exchange, which was simultaneously translated into French and Spanish, offered participants the opportunity to meet and share their experiences of resisting repression, advocating for more inclusive decision-making spaces and sharpening human right-based advocacy strategies. The exchange also underscored the interconnectedness of different human rights, including the rights to water and sanitation, and civil and political rights.
The exchange was hosted in partnership with Sanitation and Water for All and CIVICUS, a global alliance dedicated to strengthening citizen action with thousands of members in 175 different countries.
