Fantastic news: WaterAid renews partnership with End Water Poverty!

by | Sep 27, 2016 | News

End Water Poverty is delighted to announce that we have renewed our partnership with WaterAid, confirming our joint action to achieve our collective vision of everyone, everywhere!

Thursday 22 September marked an important milestone for End Water Poverty and WaterAid. The two organisations signed a new Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) agreement, in which WaterAid has committed to continue its support, and hosting, of End Water Poverty, the global civil society coalition on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). WaterAid was one of the founding members of EWP, and have been a leading supporter since the coalition’s creation, particularly through it’s hosting of the Secretariat. This renewed partnership over the next four years is a fantastic opportunity for End Water Poverty, as we continue our campaign and advocacy work around Goal 6 on WASH within the new Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring a united civil society in the sector, as well on promoting and ensuring the human rights to water and sanitation are realised for all. EWP will also continue to host the Sanitation and Water for All (SWA) Civil Society Advisor, thus helping to ensure a strong civil society voice in the global platform.

Thank you WaterAid! The renewed confirmation of this partnership provides us with continued support and stability, and strengthens the partnership between our long-standing host. This is also very welcome news, as it is confirmation that End Water Poverty can continue our priority focus of improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable, and advocating for a better future. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our great relationship with WaterAid in the coming years, and to working together with all of EWP’s members.
